C & M Equipment was started in 1981 by John Coats and Darwin Mehlbrech.  After twenty years working for aftermarket supply warehouse and manufactures, John and Darwin opened up shop in Johns garage in Long Beach, California, initially parting out government surplus equipment.  They soon moved to their warehouse, where they remained until 1995.  After a few years, John left the business and Darwin continued to do what he did best, aftermarket parts.  In the early years, C & M Equipment provided new and used spare parts to repair, rebuild or overhaul all aspects of Clark Equipment.  As technology advanced and equipment became more sophisticated, C & M Equipment started specializing in Clark heavy equipment transmissions. 

C & M Equipment moved to San Marcos, California.  Originally, the Gasket and Seal Kits, were more of an added item to go along with the larger parts.  With the high quality of aftermarket  Clark gasketkits developed by C & M Equipment, dealers, distributors and repair shops that used to buy OEM, started requesting  C & M Equipment's Aftermarket Clark GasketKits.  Over the last ten years, C & M Equipment has put its emphasis on Aftermarket Gasket and Seal Kits for Clark Transmission and Torque Converters and the related spare parts.  Even though we specialize in Aftermarket Gasket and Seal Kits, we still maintain inventory and supply other parts for the Clark Equipment.  Our Gasket and Seal Kits are shipped and can be found world wide.

In 2005, Darwin retired and C & M Equipment was purchased by Larry Morrison.  Darwin and Larry worked together since 1989.  In 2005, C & M Equipment built our own facilities and moved to Fallbrook, California.

In 2009, the decision was made to relocate to the central part of the United States.  After looking for the right property with plenty of room to expand, Tarkio, Missouri was chosen for the new location.  As of November 1, 2010, we moved to our new location and became C & M Equipment. Inc.  Our new facilities are four times the size of the prior location.  It will enable us to increase our inventory, expand our new lines, provide more room for R & D and consolidate some of our manufacturing to on site.
 
At the request of several of our customers, we have added Aftermarket Gasket and Seal Kits for the ZF transmission in Off-Highway Equipment.  After over a year of research and development, we are now producing Gasket and Seal Kits for several sizes of the ZF transmissions.  We currently have several kits available and many of the spare parts for John Deere, Case and Terex equipment.

Our goal is to provide the same high quality Aftermarket Gasket and Seal Kits for the ZF transmissions at the same low price that we provide for the Clark transmissions.
